My circumstances have changed, what should I do?
If your personal circumstances change in any way, including adding or removing a joint applicant, please contact us in writing to let us know so that we can update your current application. Please do not complete a new application. You can either email us at info@home2own.org.uk or write to us at Home2own, Hatfield House, Hatfield Road, Torquay, TQ1 3HF.
It is very important that your application is kept up to date as the information on it will be used to determine whether or not you match the criteria for any low cost home ownership properties that may become available. We will write to you every six months with a copy of your current application details from the information you have previously supplied. You will be required to return the reply slip within a requested period of time in order to remain on the register. If you do not it will be assumed that you no longer wish to be considered for low cost home ownership and your application will be cancelled.
Here are some of the things that you should tell us about:
• Change of address if you move. You will not receive details of available properties if we do not have your current address.
• Change of contact telephone number.
• Change of employment circumstances because you either leave your current job or start a new one.
• If someone else will be living with you, for instance another child. This is important as it will determine the amount of bedrooms you need.
• Change of financial circumstances eg. if you receive a lump sum payment which will change your savings, or you take on a loan.
• If you have a wage increase/decrease.
• If you or a second applicant are expecting a baby.
• You are a current homeowner and the sale of your property completes.
• You wish to add or remove a second applicant.
• You no longer wish to be included on the register and would like your application cancelled.
If you wish to change any of the options on your application for instance you wish to add further products or change the areas in which you would like to live a phone call would be sufficient to update this type of information, we do not necessarily need you to put this in writing.
